When choosing the size of shoes, it is necessary to consider other aspects in addition to the shoe size chart (foot physiology - shape, toe width, instep, and others) that can have an impact on how the shoe will fit your foot.

How to measure your foot correctly?

  • Place a blank A4-sized paper on a flat, smooth and even surface.
  • Step onto the paper with all your weight on the leg.
  • Use a pen/pencil to mark the heel and the farthest point from the heel (beware, it may not always be the big toe)
  • Measure the distance between these two points on feet with a ruler (the difference can be ± 0.197 in)
  • The number obtained is the length of the foot
  • Add an extra 0.197 in (ideal leeway) to the length of the foot, and you will get the ideal size of your shoe.
  • Find your shoe size per the above measurements by referring to the size chart for each product on our website.
  • The size chart indicates the inner length and width of our barefoot shoes in inches.

  • Our size charts may not correlate with other brands. Hence we recommend following the above steps to determine your correct Be Lenka barefoot shoe size.
  • While ordering ballet flats and sandals, we recommend a smaller excess.

I am very happy with my purchase. I typically wear shoes that are labeled 9.5-10 and usually am between a 40-41 EU. I ordered size 41 and the fit is good. I maybe could have gone up to a 42 for a little added room but the 41 definitely fits my foot. My toes and heels are not hanging off the shoe. I have a narrow foot with bunions and the width of the shoes is good for me. If you consider yourself to have wide feet, then these are probably not the shoes for you but definitely check the size chart and measure your foot. The size chart is EXTREMELY helpful because it uses actual measurements so make sure to measure the length and width of your foot.

The quality of these shoes seems great. I have only worn the sandals a few have times so I can't comment on the longevity of the shoes, but my impression so far is that they are well made. They are a true barefoot shoe meaning that they are flexible with no cushion. The flexibility of the shoes is what makes them so comfortable for me. My only complaint is that the leather foot bed makes my feet slightly sweaty. Not a big deal and idk how to fix that issue but it won't be a problem for everyone. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and will make more purchases from Be Lenka.

I just received my Promenade sandals and I'm really enjoying them! I had been looking for a dressier version of a barefoot sandal and these fit the bill perfectly. They seem to be very well made, are buttery soft and perfectly comfortable right out of the box. Very happy with my purchase!
