I’ve been a fan of Be Lenka for a long time and have purchased several pairs of their shoes for myself. This was my first time buying Be Lenka shoes for my child, and unfortunately, I’m very disappointed.

One of the main things I specifically look for in children’s shoes is a flat sole without an upturned toe. In the product photos, the sole appears nice and flat, which was one of the reasons I chose this model.

However, the sneakers I received look noticeably different. The soles curve quite significantly upward at the front. Even more concerning, the two shoes are not the same: the sole of one sneaker curves upward noticeably more than the other.

I tried gently bending the soles back into a flatter position, but they simply return to the same curved shape. I also decided to give the shoes some time, hoping that regular wear would help them flatten out, but it hasn’t made any difference. My child weighs only about 13 kg (29 lbs), so her weight is apparently not enough to significantly change the shape of the soles.

Even while she is standing and wearing the shoes, the upward curve is still clearly visible from the side. So this isn’t simply how the shoes look when they are empty. The sole remains curved while the shoe is being worn, which is particularly disappointing considering that I specifically chose this model because the product photos showed a flat sole.

I expected the shoes I received to match the shape shown in the product photos, especially from a brand I have previously had such good experiences with.
