For men who want the fit, not the look

A lot of men like what barefoot shoes do and not how minimalist ones look. Barebarics exists for exactly that: a separate brand from Be Lenka with a stronger sneaker shape, a more visible sole unit, contrast laces and detailing that holds up close.

Nothing underneath is compromised. The toe box is anatomically wide, the sole is flexible, and the heel sits level with the toes. It is a barefoot shoe in a street sneaker’s clothes.

The models worth knowing

Zing is the everyday all-rounder and the brand’s best seller, with a classic sneaker silhouette in several colorways. Legend takes its cue from skate culture, mixing leather and textile with a retro sole. Evo leans on leather and a bolder shape. Dropsta and Wave are the most expressive of the range. Revive is a year-round vegan model with double lacing and a breathable lining, and Urban Edge is the winter ankle model with a waterproof membrane and PrimaLoft insulation.

For a quieter, lighter look, see Be Lenka men’s sneakers.

How they wear

They are built for city days: commuting, work, walking, errands. On in the morning, off in the evening. The larger silhouette balances well with jeans, straight-cut pants and heavier outerwear, and it holds its own with a jacket when you want the contrast.

For training, training shoes have a thinner, firmer sole made for the gym floor.

Yes. They keep every core principle: an anatomically wide toe box, a flexible sole and zero drop. What sets them apart from classic Be Lenka models is the design — a stronger city silhouette, a more visible sole unit and bolder detailing.

Zing is the usual recommendation: versatile, available in several colors and easy to pair with everyday outfits. For something more expressive, Wave or Dropsta. For a leather build with more presence, Evo. For winter, Urban Edge.

Sizing is measured the same way, but each model has its own size chart, so check the one for the specific model rather than assuming your Be Lenka size carries over. Measure length and width, and if you are between sizes, go up.

For light sessions, walking and general movement, they work. For lifting, a thinner and firmer sole gives a more stable base — see men’s training shoes. Barebarics is primarily a lifestyle brand and is at its best in the city.
